60 Second Fall Allergies
Summer had ended, and we’re finally enjoying some cooler fall weather. You’re sneezing and sniffling all day and into the night. What’s going on?
Allergies occur when the body’s immune system mounts a vigorous response to a foreign substance — in this case, tiny grains of pollen. Specialized immune cells start churning out antibodies to proteins in the pollen. The ensuing cascade of biochemical reactions floods the bloodstream with histamine, a compound that causes all-too-familiar allergy symptoms.
Most over-the-counter and prescription allergy medications do little more than mask the symptoms, drying out sinuses with potential side effects that include fatigue, high blood pressure, and more. What else can you do?
Avoid eating foods that increase allergic responses in your body: milk and milk products, grains, sugar, and chemicals like preservatives and flavorings.
If you need a nasal spray, use a homeopathic spray or just a saline spray. We have several organic products that can help with allergy symptoms – Immuplex, Allerplex, and Antronex. Come in and get checked for what will help you.
