According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, the core is “a central and often foundational part.”
When referring to the body’s core, we mean the muscle group that includes all of the muscles that are located in your torso that keep the body stable and balanced – some of the most important muscles of the body. Your core acts as a stabilizer and force transfer center for the entire body. Symptoms of a weak core include poor posture and lower back pain.
Several recent studies have documented that improved activation of core muscles occurs following chiropractic spinal manipulation. The adjustment of the spine activates spinal muscles which lead to improved core strength. Combining this with exercises stabilizes your core.
