Here are 10 tips to help you create beauty inside and out:

1. Get your beauty rest. If you want to look attractive and healthy, the best thing you can do is get a good night’s sleep, according to recent research in the British Medical Journal.  For the first time, there is scientific backing for the concept of “beauty sleep.” The study participants were photographed on two occasions, once after normal sleep and once after being deprived of sleep.  The faces of the sleep-deprived people were judged as looking less healthy, less attractive and more tired, whereas the well-rested people appeared energetic and good-looking.

2. Drink pure water. Distilled water is best.  Bottled water is simply cleaned-up tap water, and it can contain pollutants, chemicals and even drugs.

3. Eat as many raw veggies as possible each day.  Include dark leafy green vegetables in salads, carrots, tomatoes, celery, green pepper, brocolli, etc. and find as many different colors as possible to eat.  It’s the colors in veggies that give them their healing and beauty power.

4. Eat some raw fruit each day.  The living enzymes in fruit impart life and attractiveness to your skin and hair.

5. Take supplements.  Whole food supplements are best.  These are essentially condensed food.  The minimum for each person would be to take a multivitamin-mineral like Catalyn, a fish oil, and Vitamin D.  For over 50, also take calcium and magnesium.

6. Exercise each day – Walk, stretch, get out in the sun.  This gives you a healthy glow.

7. Keep your spine in alignment.  The basic theory of chiropractic is that when bones goes out of place, they press on the nerves leading to all parts and organs of the body  – thereby reducing energy and communication from the brain to the body parts.  With the bones put back into place, the nerves can freely do their jobs of maintaining health and energy.  Good energy equals good appearance.

8. Avoid chemicals in food.  Chemicals, preservatives and unhealthy oils in food can adversely affect our health and skin smoothness.  Check labels and carefully read ingredients in foods.  Reduce sugar, fried foods, artificial sweeteners, and any ingredient you can’t pronounce!

9. Eat healthy fats: Olive oil, avocados, organic eggs, coconuts, coconut oil, cold-water fish and fish oils.  The unhealthy ones to avoid are margarine and any foods made with hydrogenated oils.  This can be pastries, cookies, chips, candy, fast-food hamburgers, fried chicken, etc.

10.  Reduce stress.  If there are people in your life who put you down or are unfriendly toward you, take the time to communicate with them about it.  Treat others well and with affinity and you’ll get that in return.  Taking care of this point can make the difference between having an aging appearance or a youthful glow.
